Urban Seed is seeking a dependable, passionate, and hardworking individual to fill a position as a Greenhouse Assistant for its first, one-of-a-kind Pahrump facility. Include, but are not limited to:
- Perform cleaning, routine maintenance and sanitation procedures of facility.
- Prepare supplies + materials for, and assist with, harvest and culling activities.
- Assist in the seeding and transplanting vegetables, fruit and herbs in a high production facility.
- Assist in performing integrated pest management + daily nutrient applications.
- Log daily production data into a comprehensive database.
- Execute all job duties efficiently and with attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and organized work space.
- Adhere to work safety standards in day-to-day operations.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of Greenhouse and Pack House supplies and materials.

- Consistent modeling of and participation in the Urban Seed “Culture”
- Available shifts: Full-time on swing, overnight + weekends, with opportunity to change shifts in 90 days
- Assist with any other general greenhouse duties as assigned by management.
- Reports directly to Head Grower.
Include the ability to do the following:
- Ability to lift 25-50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for a full 8-hour shift.
- Be comfortable working in summer heat conditions.
- Ability to responsibly work in an environment that contains bees.
- Be focused and attentive to detail, with a flexible mentality.
- Maintain confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information.
- Have a reliable form of transportation (car, train, bus, etc.).
- Have open availability for various work schedules.
- Provide necessary documentation for employment in the U.S.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management and staff.
- Prior greenhouse experience highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Familiarity of produce varieties is very helpful.
- Educational background in agriculture, hydroponics, or related fields a plus.
